Hey guys I have assorted pictures of some club games my group played back on Aug 11th.

The first shots are form a agame we call WFG

Walt's (The game designer) "Fun"  or "Frakking" Games

It is a skirmish level game designed for WWI through Modern.  Small unit tactics with some vehicle support.

This was a gme for one of our club members, Ben, who was off to colledge the next week.

He was generally of the the best players of the game so Walt designed a scenario to challege him.

It was a non specific "what if" middle eastern engagement.  I imagined it has a modern Suez Canal situation.

I elected to be challenged with Ben and be on his team.

Considering we were outnumbered and outclassed we accounted well for ourselves.  Making the attacker take heavy loses.

The funny thing from this battle was the fact that I kept my BMD alive by running away and hiding among the buildings while the British scorpion chased me around the board.

Here we see one of the defense zones set up by the defenders

British marines recon team gives us a surprise.

The guy in the window had three LAWs!  He used everyone on my BMD.

The first BMD goes puff when the Scorpion unleashes it's 30mm cannon.  Man that was a lot of round fired.

On the table next to us there was more WWI flying.  It's a shame when there is too much gaming goin on.

Here we have Lamont wonderful Gotha bomber flying a bombing mission.

Here is Dan's Spad.  Us that is rigging on the model.   Unlike my own 1/144 planes these are 1/72 kits that we are flying with.

British Camel.  In the background is the Gotha  for some reason no one wanted to tackle the beast

The allies try to box the German escort, but the German pilot kept his throttle on max and flew like a crazy man.

A glory shot of the Gotha as it makes a clean escape.

Jeff in the background is our local Ace.  Only got one kill in this game.

It appears that the Fokker reversed his plight and started to give the allies a hard time.

Oh wow - this is grand Luis. I guess the WW1 game is the one really catching my attention - that Gotha is magnificent,  although the Spad with rigging is terrific too - and the pic of the - uh, Fokker DVII? - speeding away to avoid being boxed takes the cake :) :)  WHy did everyone avoid the Gotha - too many guns?
Thanks for the treat.
What scale was the WFG game CC? They look like 1:35, but could be smaller I guess....

Thanks V and Maksim,

The for the number of planes the allies had the Gotha was just too much of a target, it has A LOT of damage points.  It only had one blind spot; same altitude directly behind the tail.  Also the observer in the back was a skilled observer that ignored defection.  So it was decided to pick on the escort.

The WFG game is 1:35 scale.  Walt has a model collection to rival most hobby stores.

What a fantastic setup - from the models to the dynamic stand and the great graphics on the hex board.  Is that a repro from a board game?  It looks like the Blue Max (I think?) board

Naturally, I immediately thought of a VSF version using stringbag kites and digs with 28mm pilots!

Thanks for sharing mate!
