The Rolands turn back after their bomb run and speed through the center mass of the dogfight.
A Nieuport 17 spins out out control. A victim of the silver Roland.

Just fantastic mate, really great. I hope you had some good background music to complete the fray!

Great pics Cuban commisar, and it looks like a really good game.
As some know, I have had a long term addiction to WWI aircraft and have written my own rules, which we use periodically at our club in central London. (next game on Tuesday PM me if interested). Here are a series of pics of some of my A/c, starting with a De Haviland DH2 (Spinning incinerator)

A battle worn RAF BE2c. The reason for the 'unfinished' upper wings is that they regularly used to remove damaged wings to repair them while the aircraft continued to fly, but sometimes did not have time to finish doping the repaired wing before having to use it again!

a late war German Fokker Dri, flown by Leutnant Arthur Rahn. By this time, they had started to paint over the upper wing markings in an attempt to improve the camoflage (the tail markings are for his squadron)

The 5 colour lozengs camoflage used on late war German aircraft. It was actually dyed during manufacture, and applied in different directions, so the lower wings are covered in a single strip going the length of the wings, while the upper wings are covered in a series of strips across the width of the wing. The fabric was reinforced across each rib by a small strip of blue cloth.
And before anyone asks, they whole effect is the result of transfers by Pegasus; a very pleasing and worthwhile cheat (but also surprisingly time-consuming)
