I am looking to play FoW in 6mm, as i think 15mm is took large a scale to reproduce the battles i want in the detail i would loke.

Has anyone done this if so could they give me thier learned wisdom.

Actually, something that was brought up in this thread (about Reaver's 6mm Spartan Soldier) has got me thinking it would be good to use the E:A rules for historical setting.

I think that this would also be good for 6mm WWII, and provides another option.

I take it you'd use tanks from the 'Micro Armour' range from GHQ?

The GHQ range is very good. I can vouch for that, as I had a large late war kampfgruppe made mainly out of their stuff. However, for infantry I preferred Irregular miniatures.

Ditto TheLimey - they're small and fiddly, but the detail is glorious.  :)

More agreement here about GHQ models. Exceptional quality and detail, good prices, fast shipping.

Yep. the only problem with GHQ is they are so close to the scale small gun barrels tend to bend/break  easily. A quad 20mm is a nightmare to handle.

Actually, GHQ's Gun tubes are rather "battleworthy". You might be thinking of CnC-those are the ones that have the "right on" scale for the GTs. GHQ's GTs are what I call scale creep i.e. larger than scale. I feel this still leaves a great looking model and at the same time lends itself to hardy table top play.
There has been lenghty discussion for playing FOW with 6mm on the GHQ forum for quite some time now. It appears a lot of 15mm players have converted over to the Micro Armour... :)

Wow, bunny, that's a great looking battle!

The other good thing about using 6mm is that you can use the same figures to play Command Decision or Blitzkrieg Commander.
