Alright, I guess I'll have to finish the Krauts and start on the US/Commonwealth stuff.

I'm still fussing with point costs, and an adequate special rule to represent the Walker's ability to negotiate terrain, though. ?(Probably just borrow the 'Wide Tracks' special rule, allowing a re-roll of the Dangerous Terrain test)

Also, I've started on the American walkers, and I've already had to create a special rule from scratch: ?I call it the 'Calliope' rule, which would also be used to represent the Shermans with the rack of 5" bombardment rockets.

If I may offer a suggestion: add a new vehicle mobility type (walker).

Walkers have greater cross country movement capabilities than other vehicles and therefore treat rough terrain as one category less severe than it is. Very difficult becomes difficult and difficult becomes cross-country. This means walkers will only get bogged on a roll of '1' in very difficult terrain and don't need to make a bog check at all in difficult terrain. Impassable terrain is still impassable even for walkers. It does not become very difficult terrain.

Being a rather dim-witted idividual at times (though I must claim the defence of being somewhat distracted of late), I have just made the startling neuron connection that some of these gears would make rather spectacular conversion for my 15mm VSF armies.  :D

And there is no reason why some of the Tsar's regiments couldnt be supported by were-cossakcs either now that I think about it....

So not having seen the majority of the models, what in your esteemed opinions would make the best VSF style conversions? ? ???  My Redcoats are being carved up by the indig irregulars on Venus and need some support pronto!  :alien:

You should take a look at DP9?s vehicle compendium. I know they had team powered gears, but i don?t know it they actually made the models or not

My apologies for the long absence, but Real Life ™ has been rearing it's ugly head of late.

With the exception of points and deployment patterns, the Germans are done.  Completely.

I've started on the US stuff, but after 10-hour shifts staring at a computer, the last thing I want to do is come home and work on another computer.  The good news is that the OT pay is making fast work of debts and still leaving some decent amounts of play money!

Agreed, Sailor ! Micheal Caine would be to old to do the movie ... on Mars, anyway ! ?And Lion, be glad you got a good paying job ... so you can buy more "of those wonderful toys" ... Sooner or later you'll get around to painting and gaming ! :)  I got the time for painting but no job to buy more !  But that's what VISA is for ! :D

Tas: i was thinking about the three last things you can see at http://www.dp9.com/Products/decalminisd20MC.htm (the d20 fantasy mechas. I think the last one is a "coal suit")

Lion: Don?t worry. Just keep the hard work  :)

Thanks Yuber - that coalsuit is excellent. ?I have been looking for Iron Mage Steam Golum figures for exactly that purpose. Thanks!
