I think FOW will work with 6mm as well.

I think so too. After reading Tuffskull's comment on another thread I agree. But I just have not tried it yet.

Hi!

Ive toyed with the idea for some time too. Might be worth a try.

Hi Mojarn and Gang,

I've been doing some research into the Russo-Finnish War (Or should I say wars?) and I don't think that there are any vehicles used by the combatants that you couldn't get in microarmor.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

That is one fun part of playing with Micro-armor, the slight differances between veriations can be hidden with just some paint. If it is the right shape and size, it often is good enough.

Ah well, at least I'm in good company. And I think the US troops would be good IG - in fact, some of the other ranges might work as IG variants - including Rough Riders.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

There is one: BT-42. At least I don't know any manufacturers making it.

Other than that GHQ alone makes everything you need. Except infantry, of course, but the Germans are close enough to proxy if you paint 'em right.

And another one makes the right choice and dives into the best game I've played in years :D

Welcome aboard matey - you wont be disappointed.

I dont know anyone around here thats playing Finns, but they're next on my list

I'm yet to try FoW in 6mm myself, but I really cant see a downside to it. As I've said before, once I've got the last quarter of my Soviets completed (this week!), if I buy any other forces, they'll be in 6mm, based for FoW - I'll check out GHQ as soon as I can afford to even browse!

WMN - you can get most of the units you want fielded on the Eastern front around Kursk Era. At least thats what my opponent's fielding (that and an entire indestructable Panther company of 8 tanks... which is just boring... ;p )

Now there was a game that gave me a head ache trying to play. Do not know if it was the person teaching me or the game itself, but ouch.

Loved the maps and markers, but the rules. Oh my was I lost 100% of the time, least that is how it felt.

dafrca

I'm guessing it was the person teaching you. ASL is one of the most complex games I've ever played, but when teaching a new player, it is possible to make it easy to understand and learn. ASL definitely needs to be taught and learned in bite-size chunks.

...I've got some Adler figs(6mm) that I did this weekend.
I have them mounted for my game "Panzertruppen" but as you see they will work very well with FoW
