Finally 1st Platoon, which took the long way though the woods, is prepared to assualt the German left flank.  They call in a massive artillery barrage from the Priest battery.

1st platoon holds for a short while but German counter attacks force them back.

The Stugs ensire that the Sherman never want to play across the river.  With the attacking force in shatters the Americans pull back plan plan for the B17s to level the whole area.

yep.  But I got tired of bending back barrels with my GHQ stuff.

But as a whole I think it would work very well.

It is something I've ben thinking about to alow me to collect the Finnish army I've always wanted - mounting 6mm figs on the same base sizes & vehicles in platoons on large bases, but I've never got around to trying it.

Another great set of photos & superb commentary! Thanks for posting!

So put (for example) four 6mm Shermans on the large FOW base and then use the single Sherman stats for the "Base"?  ???

Probably not that many models, just two or three, but yes, that would be the plan if I did it. Keep the conversion of the rules as simple as possible.

Interesting idea.  ???

Seems like it would look good if the whole table was set up that way. 6mm village etc as well.
