I just downloaded the free Urban War issues from Urban Mammoth website and was surprised by the new style of VASA; red stars, cyrillic letters and imagery seemingly borrowing heavily from Neo-Soviets of VOR. What happened?  Even the batttlesuits are nammed "KV". ???

On the plus side the minis could well be used in a Neo-Soviet army.

Yeah, there's a distinct change of imagery from Void to Urban War; the former had more of a Manga-esque influence, and a lot of people didn't like the 'clean' sci-fi background of it.  Urban War has added a lot more 'grit' to the imagery, and for the better if you ask me.

On the other hand, some people have been  disappointed with VASA's shift - from a galactic 'Interpol' to Eastern Blok in space...

Anyway, it doesn't bother me, I play Syntha :D

I prefered the looks of the original VASA to the new Neo-Sov look.  Actually, I prefer the overall aesthetic (wow, that's a big word for 0746) of the original line to the Urban War iteration.

I prefered the original VASA, but like FireStorm, I'm a Synth player :). Gotta love the all dodging prothenes.
