I know this might not be any bodies thing here, but I thought I'd try just in case I can help someone. While pouring over web sites looking for new minis, I've run across several places that discuss Star Wars mini games and the difficulty in finding proxies. ?I have a few suggestions to offer. Most SW guys already know about the Micro Machine AT ATs. ? Old first edition 6mm scale Space Marines would make fair Storm Troopers (yes, or Clone Troopers) in a respectable scale comparison to the micro machine AT ATs. Mechwarrior makes a wide selection of grav tanks that you can find pretty cheap now. ?Easy to pop off their base and repaint. ?Just be careful, alot of these will be half the size of your AT AT. ?Look for the smaller ones. This part might be a bit pricey unless you split the cost with someone. ?Buy a Risk 2210 game. ?It has a fairly large number of a walker piece. ?Cut off the pointy nose and it's about the right shape for an AT ST. ?It is a little on the large size at 20mm. ?It will be about half the height of your AT AT. ?But prob. closer than anything else you have. ?You will also have enough of them to split with someone. Hope someone can use this. |

Just a quick list of the smaller MechWarrior grav vehicles. Shamash Recon Sled Saxon (a little bigger than the first two, but not too big) Scimitar Belona (a little taller than the Saxon, but not any longer or wider) There are one or 2 others I can't quite think of at the moment. |
