Just been introduced to Rommel. https://sammustafa.com/rommel/, and had fun with it.

Though WWII is fun, I was thinking "I want to play this in 40K" all along. Recreate stuff from Vraks or Armageddon

Converting Rommel, making new rules, armylists and so on, would be a big task. So wondering if there is any good scifi rule sets people can recomend?

Rommel being division sized, with a base being about company strenght.

Reminds me that GW did release 'Battle for Armageddon' in the 90s, though I've never played it myself. I think the scale would be a little large too.

Battle for Armageddon is a great game, had a lot of fun with it. Made a print-n-play version when GW released the files.

The rules for Rommel are quite similar.

Just bought the rules and reading through them as i write. Need to dig up the rules for Battle for Armageddon when i start converting for 40k.

I actually did a vassal module for that based on those files. Have to dig it out

I have the rules if you want them

Found the rules, but the Vassal module would be awesome. Stuck far away from gaming friends and Vassal might be the new black for us.

Mind you it doesn't "run any of the game" it simply replicates the chits in the box on a computer between two players...

The module would be nice anyway.

Do you have a hd version of the full map of Armageddon? Havent found anything but rumours about the 3-player map, so better make it my self :)

Just need to find out how many PDF troops were in Armageddon secundus during the first war. But i guess we can roughly calculate it to make the game playable. (Snakebite + Bloodaxes) - Squats = PDF.

Define "HD Version".
I have the files GW released. I also have the original game (still play it) but lack a scanner able to make a better scan in one go.

No clue what this rumor of a 3 player map is. Details?

The number of guard involved where in the 10's of millions. PDF were probably even greater.
