I ran a BattleTech Alpha Strike scenario this weekend in preparation for a game at a convention.

It ran pretty well. I have a few adjustments to make and it will be good to go. You can see the details of the game and more picture on my blog. http://gamingandshooting.blogspot.com/2014/09/battletech-alpha-strike-hold-line.html

Great to see some big heavy mecha in action! Who owns/produces battletech nowadays anyways?

Almost all of the mechs come from the introductory box. They aren't the best models, but you can usually get them cheap and with Alpha Strike they aren't all that bad.

BattleTech is owned by Topps now (the baseball card company) and produced by Catalyst Game Labs. They have been regularly producing stuff for a while and it is well supported as far as I can tell.

I could really get into Alpha Strike on two conditions:

"They" produce minis from the MechWarrior Online game and...

I could actually find someone around here that would play.

But, great stuff. Thanks for posting your batrep.
