I've been looking for a satisfying way to play smaller 6mm games in my small apartment. Like all unsatisfied gamers, I've resorted to writing my own rules. I hope you all will take a look and try them out! They do some things which other rules for 6mm sci-fi don't:
* Armies are big platoons / small companies. * Map is 2' x 2' (60cm x 60cm). * Complete, interesting game is less than an hour. * Army lists aim for simple force-building over competitive balance.
Current rules include two sample army lists. It is easy enough to generate more: I will certainly take requests for lists from anyone who intends to play a game!
Enjoy!

Over a 2'x2' board, we just hold up a screen. Or more often hold a hand over field of vision to obscure the opposite half.
It's not exactly tournament-ready. But it works well.
