Hi all, it's been a sad couple of days. The old paint station, the surface of which I had not seen in years due to the heaving pile of models on it, is almost clear. Only a few half-finished big models are parked on its desolate surface - a 40K Ork Battlewagon, a Mumak, an old, old dragon.... all the Epic stuff is gone, and there's not a paint pot in sight. The storage area under the staircase is still one big mess, but it's now more ecletic and includes shoes and an air conditioner. The storage space in our washroom is almost empty. The White Dwarfs have fled their habitual cupboard. Vanvlak Industries is closing down. I found a couple of old photos whilst clearing the place, photos of the 'yard' (as I used to call the paint station) at its best, with my old plastic 40K Land Raider being restored (before it was subsequently downgraded to a Land Transporter). I'll try to scan these and post them for old times' sake. Vanvlak Industries has closed down. It's over. |

VANVLAK INDUSTRIES MOSTA YARDS - CLOSED. MOVING TO NEW PREMISES! The move is on - I'm just hoping there won't be any casualties. It'll take a while to get the 'yard up and running again, but I guess we'll be back in business once we settle down again. With the extra-added benefit of a quantum of solace - er, no , of space for a very small games table.

Oh, thank God for that, Vanvlak Industries closing down would be too much to bear, relocation is entirely acceptable. Godd luck with the move (both of you that is!) |

Well just like the Russkies in WWII ... you pick up your factory and move to a new location ... out of range of Nazi Bombers !  Nice redux of that old '60s song too !!

You had me worried, Van, until I remembered that you're moving. I hope it goes well and nothing gets damaged in transit. My last move was only five minutes away from where I had lived, much to the delight of my epic hordes. |

Don't think so We used to go over for most holidays - particularily for Santa Marija. i've only been back a couple of times since going to university though. Hoping to go back with the kids for the first time this year.

Hey Steve54, give me a PM if you're coming. L-4 - precisely! And part of the new quarters is safe in an underground bunker DS, it is near from where I live too, but I've already had my first minor injury - an Ogre lost half an oar. Thanks guys, this is going to be one busy week.... |
