Hi all,
couldn't resist posting something in this nice, empty volume of 'comms. I've just ordered a copy of Ironstars and a load of models from Brigade - will review once it's here. The intro set pits a British vs a Russian fleet of steam-powered spaceships (solar saila come into it too, though) in a Victorian environment. Sounds fun! This will complement my Aeronef stuff.  :alien:  :alien:  :alien:

It does look kind of empty, doesn't it!

Primarch

Oh Primarch the one, not by far - I just have a few dozen Aeronefs, some Ironstars ships on the way (there's not many models released yet, so having each and every one means just 8 or 9 !), and some Hulk Victoria (remember that?) stuff - including the cowboys...
Oh - and my prized 5 War of the Worlds Tripods (thanks Tas!)  :alien:  :alien:  :alien:
Very far from real Primarchhood. ANd I paint all my models, which means it will take the better part of my life before I have a sizable number of models!
But I'm happy to be your disciple on a different path  :D

Hi!

Do you know anyone with lots more than you?

How prevalent is this sort of gaming where you live?

Er - in Malta, I believe I'm the only Aeronef/Ironstars specimen....  :(
And yes, any one of the types on the Wessex boards has LOADS more than I do! I'd say Tas, in spite of his modesty, has as many 'Nefs as I have - hi Tas   :D  :D  :D

Hiya Buddy. ?Well, I have a few Squadrons and think we would be on about a par wouldnt we? ?One day I hope to deploy them to Malta for a cultural enrichment visit followed by some Exercises with the Kights Of Malta Flotilla! ?

I have sat bought about a hundred in my head, but promised myself that before I order the next load, at least half of my previously purchased lot must be finished. ?That has worked so far, but 2 orders is hardly a wide sample!

Of course, I would have at least a dozen mroe from Wessex if they were actually available!

and my prized 5 War of the Worlds Tripods (thanks Tas!) ?

Whats that green flash in the sky? ?
UUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! ?:alien:
You are welcome.

One day I'll have to do an integrated WOTW and Nef game! ?

Just about par. And I'm looking forward to that deployment.
The Wessex issue is a bit sad - I'm stil waiting for my stuff..
ANd I was thinking on the same lines of WOTW-NEF-Ironstars integration:
intercepting the Martians with an Ironstars fleet, then tackling them on the ground and in the air with Nefs.
Add a Hulk Victoria scenario....  :alien:  :D  :alien:  :D  :alien:

Hmm, I really like the idea of steam-punk games, but if these are the models I'm thinking of I seem to recall they're not very detailed are they? I think I could probably make them myself out of plasticard. I suppose they are pretty small, but they looked a bit second-rate compared to other miniatures on the market. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong ones of course...
