Luis - great to see the Colonials have got soem reinforcements to up agaisnt those base stars!
I think you have gotten the effect you ant. With a black background and the right lighting (and the dull coat dry) I think you'll be suprised at how close you are. What you havent got is the numerous deep recesses in the model to break up the ship sides - which you cant do anything about
May I suggest some additional attention to the engine nacelles?
I think a very thin dark blue wash and then some bright white highlighting will really bring out that engine flame effect you are after
Great Stuff! I'm sure you are very pleased with your BSG results over the break - well done Commander!
