The La?tus Prime Tribune website has been updated with the rules and restrictions of Epic Minigeddon (or how to play 1000 points EA battle without loosing interest).

A very quick (and very bad) translation into English :

Epic Minigeddon

1000 points
Battlefield : 60 to 80 x 120cm
Scenario : Tournament  scenario witht the following restrictions
     - objectives : 1 base and 1 objective
     - objectives must be placed at 20cm minimum from each other
     - to control an objective a unit must be at less than 10cm
     - Missions :
              + Defend the flag (control the 2 objectives of your side)
               + Take and Old (control the enemy objective - not the base)
      - Garrisons : One garrison formation can be placed in overwatch

Malus of -1 to raly a unit where there in an enemy unit at less than 20cm
400 points maximum for a formation
Forbidden formations :
             - flying units
             - space units
             - drop pods
             - avatar

Epic Minigeddon has been tested and approved by players of the Crazy Orc club (Lyon, France). It's another way to play Epic Armageddon. ;)

Maximum cost of formations : 400 points.
So you can't play an AM/TL list in Epic Minigeddon : we didn't want to see a 1000 points Warlord.  :D
So, for this army you must ignore some restrictions but our advice is to play it with a good spirit. Epic Minigeddon is not a rule but a way to play 1000 points battles.
In addition I don't know if a single Reaver + smaller stuff could be an effective force : during our tests, the best armies were those with a lot of activations. You still have to play a tournament scenario and I think you can't win with a unique titan.

More importantly (for me), it is a nice target to set for painting a 'force'! I will have to give this a try.

Me and dptdexys tried out a 1000pts minigeddon game yesterday, nids vs guard. Nice and quick game of epic. Though i am a little sore about the amount of bugs i lost....
