Happy days that the Demiurg are about! It's just a tragic shame that they have to be melted into the craptastic Tau fleet. The Tau are my pet peeve race in 40K. I loathe them to the point I won't acknowledge them as a race that exists in my 40K universe if someone tried to use them in a game. Anyway, that massive bias aside, Tau have never had enough unique vessels to really support a whole DLC/expansion like this on their own, so it's hardly surprising they'd go with other ahem 'lesser' races to bulk them out.

Now if only there was a wholly Squat expansion... Ahh, dreams!

That fleet does look impressive. I might be persuaded to give the game a go. Nice to see it's not just Tau - and a good opportunity to flesh out some of the allied races. I wonder if NuGW would supply some new concept art?

Luckily they used the forge world tau ships and not the GW ones

I dunno I kind of liked the GW tau fleet - it had a certain "cobbled together" charm. Also in the fluff they aren't a long-established space faring race so they were refitting and arming civvie vessels into a warfleet so it felt right to me. I thought it more odd that the tau redesigned their whole fleet from the ground up and the new ships were so far out of the league of the first lot it seemed crazy to me that they were made by the same race

Oh I never thought they were ever supposed to go together, rather that forge world went "na, not making anything that looks like that" and went their own way (which happened to be much more in line with the tanks etc).

Still, to each their own!

Can someone please explain to me what the Demiurg ship is ? It sounds dwarfish or am i miles off Never been into bfg but love the looks of the minatures and some basic fluff.

Note that the Demiurg have been introduced a couple of years ago already, around the time the Tau came out. How long ago is that already? 10 years?

Never even new they had put them back in, let alone 10 years ago, always thought they had killed them off like the squats in epic. Have never looked at any of the tau fluff just does not float my boat but maybe i am missing something.

The Tau just remind me of the Mekon mans foot soldiers in the dan dare comics only differece is they are green and the tau are blue/grey
