Yeah that's not a fan film that's OG Games Workshop terribad gold!  These were made by Bright Light Productions as a pitch for a WH40K movie (they're the same people who did the cutscenes for Final Liberation) and were shown at a Games Day (or other GW event) back when they had actual events. There's another one they made with an Inquisitor and some Marines investigating some warp disturbance that starts off with a fleet orbit bombarding a planet. So bad they're good.

Oh how terribly terrible. Though I usually manage to not think about it, the silly heavy metal heritage of GW is glaringly apparent here

Keep in mind the limited budget and other resources GW was working here at the time. Also, in that era it wasn't that 'easy' to make an independent sci-fi movie, especially something set in the 40k universe. Still very campy though!

I love it! This kind of self aware silliness is what I love about 90s GW. I remember reading about this in White Dwarf and being super jealous that people got to see it. |
