A rumor repeated on Bell of Lost Souls says that there is going to be an AT Knights battle group box (130 Euro). If it’s anything like the Titan battle group box that they had earlier this year, then I think that will be the most cost efficient way of picking up some knights. That said, I’d guess that box set might not include the new weapon upgrade sprues, because the Titan battle group box didn’t include any either. |

I realize that it is 90% wishful thinking, but some of the choices that GW has made regarding the models in this game make me convinced that they fully intend to rerelease Epic eventually. I base this on the following observations:
I'm probably just deluding myself, but if they ever release xenos titans then I think that will be the most clear indicator. That's probably several years off. |

Eventually. But probably not for several more years. |

I suspect its more about leaving their options open to see how the game takes off or not. It makes sense to leave certain things open for expansion, rather than close ever dead end and not give them room to return to Epic/expend AT if it has legs and really gets popular. |

I was once a hopeful sceptic, but since the announcement of Warhammer FB in the old world setting, i think the rulebook has been thrown out and everything is basically just a matter of time... On the back of the massively discounted new AT starter set, for the next couple of years I expect them expand the resin add ons significantly soon. Chaos titans, mechanicum knights, unusual weapons etc. I wouldn’t be surprised to see basing kits, potentially including some infantry and or tanks. Then I predict it will follow the same model of leveraging design work already put into their big 30k kits which are beyond the casual wallet - ordinatus, fellblade, mastadon, thanatar etc. If that all proves popular enough, 30k will be winding down following the end of the HH books and we might see xenos titans as they will need a new direction.... a new epic could follow. (If im right, you heard it here first right!?) |

Gw will not let anything threaten WH40k sales. I hope you are right but we have been here before. |

Like i say, felt exactly the same before the WHFB announcement. Nothing would surprise me now! Hell, I'm waiting for dark future to be released again! :-D |

I’m of the opinion that GW’s main revenue stream is new releases. I don’t think it matters what game the releases are for. I think that GW’s big weekly push is how they intend to resist third party manufacturers and recasters. The idea being that once third parties are able to produce knock-offs, GW has already had 4 more big releases. |

Old news now, but catching this up... GW has released more information on The Defence of Ryza book in their more-or-less weekly Engine Kill article. The essentials:

I didn't listen/watch the casts so any details about what the dark mechanicum entails? I'm really hoping for good stuff like megaera and the like to come out this wave. |

I'm also looking to split one box of the new knights (so I can then have 3 of each type). I'm in the UK though and would prefer to swap with someone else who is too; it's not really worth the while for international postage. |
