many of you will be familiar with the excellent site of painter extraordinaire, Carl Woodrow (dropship.org.uk) I found out recently that he is planning to shut down the site, and while he intends to migrate as much content as possible, some will be left behind

I've just been and grabbed everything I possibly could from the site, thought some people here may want to do the same, even if it's just a few of the gorgeous pictures there :)

Gosh! Probably over-stating my painting capability a bit, but flattered nevertheless so thank you.

Just to allay fears in case anyone is of the belief I'm deleting dropship.org.uk and packing in the hobby altogether, nothing could be further from the truth. I'm probably more active now that I have been at any stage in the pasty twenty years and the recent consolidation of all my content under a single Wordpress site is just an extension of that. Every piece of Epic-related content that is on the old dropship.org.uk domain will transfer to the new Studio Dropship site either with the original images (because I can't re-shoot them), or if possible with completely new and much higher resolution photographs. There will even be *new* Epic content from time to time I suspect depending on workloads.

I should perhaps have clarified a bit better regarding the migration that what I meant be "anything not worth bringing across", I was purely referring to the old sites structure, appearance or support pages like 'What's New' etc...

No actual content will be harmed during the consolidation and retiring of dropship.org.uk. At a later date I will also delete the old pages on Blogspot and Wordpress.com to leave just a single source; studiodropship.co.uk

The big benefit of the new location is it's much easier to manage and more importantly much easier to search for specific content on via the tag cloud and search function.

The other big positive of the new site is it's pretty well hooked into the popular social platforms natively, so if Facebook, Twitter or Google+ is your preferred bag, any new content will automatically push out an update to those respective accounts as well if that's your thing.

So that's pretty much all I wanted to clear up. Don't think of this as deleting Dropship, just consolidating it under a slightly new name, that's all :)

Best regards
Carl Woodrow

good to hear!

I didn't mean to cause a panic or anything, just worried that something may get overlooked, and the site is like a big snapshot of epic in its prime for me, it's been a huge source of inspiration over the years, thanks for sharing it! :)

Thanks chaps. No fear of anything getting lost, I have a full copy of the old site backed up locally. Re: new content. I may be pursuing other scales/manufacturers these days, but Epic is very much in my DNA so sooner or later it always rotates back into my hobby focus.

Carl ;)
