Jes categorically stated their was an Epic Release coming and that I could quote him on it. I was very pleased to hear this as an Epic Player. This is not rumour, this is fact. Jes has revealed there will be an epic release in the next few month. After realising what he had said he did check I wasn’t going to post this information on the Internet. Which of course I assured him I wouldn’t do.

Hmmm... How trustworthy is the source?

So is this a reputable source? because that last sentence just made it fall off a cliff in terms of believability for me.

A little confused.

First the blogger states that Jess Goodwin wasn't there, but then the old designer of amazing miniatures is called Jes, not Jess.

Then jonsgot talks to 'Jes' about battle reports and stuff. This seems to be a different Jes than the Goodwin one, then? Perhaps a white dwarf employee - I wouldn't know; it's been 5+ years since I touched one ..

Don't hold your breath. Will probably only be a boxed game like Space Hulk was. After all they have all the required things on site (moulds, rules, etc.), and they'll just try to turn it into quick €€€.

So it will most likely be two existing armies, like Marines and Orks. It will depend on the quality of the moulds I think.

I don't see them supporting it in the long term though...

But if there's some plastic ruins in the box, I might buy it :)

Probably Jes Bickham, the WD Editor he's talking about.

GW please leave epic alone. Unless they want to put all the plastic stuff back on sale without rules of course!

the last thing that's needed is even more rules..

Good to know. They tend to be a bit squishy :-D

If they do release it, though I seriously find it hard to understand, it will be done in a way so as to maximise sales by minimising the utility of existing minis out there. Rescaling minis range and/or completely altering rules and armylists will aim at throwing the existing user base (us) off balance. I seriously hope they find other destructive plans to throw money at.

On pretty much the same site, linking to that article there's this too though, which seems a bit confusing (the quote's the link)

This news certainly clears up a number of rumours. I can't say I'm happy about any of it. No more Epic, no more metal or Finecast, lots more Warhammer Visions

Well that definitely muddles that up something fierce ..

Looking at that link again, I think the Chaptermaster blogger has simply misread the report he links to.

I have a hard time beleiving this "rumor" ... after all the neglect of Epic by GW. I doubt it can be resurrected from the dead/zombie state ... And if so, which I highly doubt, I'd be more interested in new models than another new version of Epic rules ... ^-^

Well if that's true I assume that's the last rumour they slip that fella.

Hi!

I can believe it. I also believe it will be 10mm and not 6mm scale. ;)
