Wow! My wife, being a good wife, bought me a new iPod Touch for Christmas (along with a holosight and a laser boresighter -- man, I love this woman!). I'm using it right now, in fact, to type this post. If you have never played with one of these things, they are hella cool! Yes, what is a holosight and boresighter? They sound really cool! I want one just to tell people that I have one! I got my wife an iPod touch as well. I have a previous version which goes with me everywhere, and the new Touch is pretty cool. I am still dubious about Apple software. They make great hardware, but their software leaves a lot of room for improvement and most Apple items are more expensive just for being Apple. Still, the iPod Touch is really tactile and great to play with. |

A laser boresighter is a device that allows you to sight in a rifle or pistol without actually firing any rounds: http://www.combathunting.com/product.cg ... duct=10607 You generally use it to get a good starting zero at about 100m, then you can fine-tune your zero with actual rounds. A holosight is a sight for a gun that has an image of a targeting reticle displayed onto a lens; you can then shoot with both eyes open, and so long as you have the rifle in the ready position, the sight will work accurately: http://www.combathunting.com/product.cgi?group=10504&product=10628 Good wife.
