Just a quick note... If it seems that I have been a little absent recently this is because I have recently moved home, job and country. Things are starting to settle down now as I have been here three weeks and I hope that I will be able to get back to a few tasks that I want to complete very soon.

Its long term. I have an initial 1 year contract with a view to extend that in 12 months, and then a permanent position here following that. Its a re-alignment of my career to something a lot more interesting than I was doing in the UK. Whether I will still be here in 8 years is unknown, but the plan right now is to stay (I just signed a 2 year mobile phone contract, so I cant leave too soon!).

I don't know... I'm sure there was some island that was actually on the int'l date line with an opening in your line of work. Moving from GMT to there would have had more symmetry. If you're going to move halfway around the world, it should really be half way. Just sayin'

There's a chance I may pass through Singapore at some point in the next 2-3 years (I did on the way over to Oz). Do you actually play Epic anymore? It's a long way off but I may be able to visit for a game or few.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys. Right now the wargame scene here isnt great. There are no GW (not a bad thing!) and really just one store that I have found (with two outlets) which concentrates on 40K, WHFB, WM and FoW. Plus, I have had to put all of my lead mountain in storage temporarily. I am determined to get things rolling here if I can, but I will be starting slow and focussing on one army for one game at a time. The last thing that I need is two lead mountains!
