Sorry you had such problems Koshi. As mentioned, something completely warped the sound when I transferred it into MP4. I'm not saying it was perfect before then, but it was much clearer. I'll also try and slow down the speed I talk at. Believe it or not, I don't have quite as harsh an accent as some of my fellow countrymen!

Set up is a problem, I agree with both you and Jimmy on this. By using Jimmy's suggestion, my aim is to reduce the set up and deployment time to about 2 mins.

This has been my first go and I've never filmed anything previous to this so it is a steep learning curve for me. Hopefully I'll be able to vastly up my game for the next one. I hope the next video to be a big step forward and that everyone can persevere with me till I get things spot on.

Breakthrough! The sound problem has finally been solved. It's because I watch the footage on my computer while I record the sound to the same place. The playback and no doubt being linked to the internet are interfering with the recording!

I'm sure you've all been waiting with baited breath for this news. I'm sure it is up there with global hunger in terms of important things going on in the world!

Arrrggghhh! I'm editing video from the weekend and there is a huge piece of film that requires a load of cuts. An hour chopping it up and then suddenly the video is corrupted! Damn you Movie Maker!!!

Thanks Hena. I just re-edited the offending piece of footage there - 17 mins trimmed down to a sequence that lasts just shy of 40 seconds! The trick seems to be to keep saving and saving again!

I'm feeling better about this now, must press on!

Well, I finally finished that long awaited battle report (see under the Net Epic Battle Reports section) and tonight I'm going to turn my attention to filming a tutorial for my pet project, Net Epic Evolution.

It made me wonder, are there other Epic related videos the community would like to see? I don't have many more suggestions but could film a painting log or army collections at some point if it was something that people would be interested in.

Other ideas welcomed!

Or just stick to battle reports?

Audio was ropey, but you know that, so I won't labour the point.

Thanks AB, glad you liked the first video... though frankly it was a mess, due to the hideous audio. The reason the audio came out so badly was because my PC couldn't handle me recording sound at the same time I was playing back the edited footage. I've worked around this since, so here is the more recent and hopefully more coherent report. I've also vastly shortened the pre-battle waffle after good feedback from the community. What's also pleasing is that I managed to edit this into a single video, instead of into 2 as with the previous report you had spotted. On the down side, there's a lot less of the laser pen gimmicks though, sorry!
