If the board can't be fixed so that it respects the "Display user signature" profile option can we at least have the theme modded so that it displays an HR or something to differentiate the signature from the message text?

testing,

Pixelgeek, the signature (mine at least) is displayed under a horizontal line and in differetn colour. Does that work for you?

Yes. I have a minty green (currently!), dotted line between post and signatures when I view the boards - in both IE7 and FF3.

Nope. Perhaps by disabling sigs all it is doing is removing the horizontal lines :-)

You know, that really would not surprise me at all!   ???  I suspect that this has something to do with the change over. At a guess, sigs created before the move are not recognised as sigs...?

I will look at the 'disable sigs' option. Thanks.

That makes an odd amount of sense.

I'll reenable it so at least the posts will be more readable :-)

Update: Ta Dah! Horizontal lines before the sigs. How very odd :-)
