Actually, no I didnt realise that valid HTML was quite so picky about these things! Thank goodness for the 'who cares what the rules say, we make our own' coding of Microsoft!  :D

Yeah, I didn't know that before either! It's not just Microsoft that is so loose with the rules - au contraire! It seems that Gecko-based browsers may be the only ones that parse the comments this way. If the ikonboard guys want some more references, send them here (W3C) and/or here (WDG).

Might as well do things the right way.  :;):
