God awful, but not so bad in a kilt (I occassionally conform to national stereotypes)! No need to worry though, I don't intend to appear in the video!

And while the brain bleach is attempt to clense that image....

I do watch a few 40K reports online, and it has informed what I dont like. (40K! Ha.) I think that I prefer neither of the extremes. I dont really want to watch every die being thrown, and countless measurements and pauses for thoughts. But, whiile I like BoLS YouTube channel, their battle reports just sum up what happened that turn, and its a little cold.

Ideally, and I know that this would require work in post-edit, I would like to see a still of the table, a narrative about a movement/activation, and a fade to the new position of the table to show the change just stated. These would then be cut with footage of dice being rolled at key points to give the results, the scatter of teleporting troops, or close ups of a particularly dramatic skirmish, etc. Please no music or sound effects. A summary at the end of the turn showing victory points, etc would be good to keep the viewer involved in the battle so far and rooting for their side.

Thanks for the suggestions CS, much appreciated!

You may be relieved to know that this point in particular is very close to what I already have in mind... Also, I do intend to put emphasis on key moments in the battle as well as a general overview.

Have you got a preference of forces you'd like to see battle?

PS Hope the brain bleach has kicked in!

Honestly, I dont much mind. Any Epic game would be great to watch, no matter what the sides were.

No probs CS! @Rastamann, sorry to say that Orks probably won't feature as they are the only force I own which are unpainted! That is my next painting project. Sorry about this...

Latest voting scores:

Marines: 0
Eldar: 2
Chaos: 1
Squats: 2
Imperial Guard: 0

Plenty of time to change this yet if your favourites aren't there!

I vote for chaos Vs IG. Would be great to have some one with some epic videos online.

Though I would say no sound effects, not because I dont like them in videos but because there are so few on youtube that actually get them right and not sound awful (especially as I'm a avid headphone user!) But by all means, experiment- if you dont try your never know how good you could be at adding them! ;)

Probably not for Chaos it wouldn't, that was my worst ever defeat in a game of Epic back in the second edition era. I lost 83-10 with my Chaos army.

I'd love to see a game where Chaos beat Squats though. It's a pretty tough match up for them.

Thanks Rastamann & Rex Havoc for your votes! Apologies again to Rasta for the lack of Orky representation in my armies!

I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday when I was talking to my nephew about this. It is a bit of a mismatch in terms of the Squat army being built around Praetorians against Chaos' predominantly infantry army. The only chance Chaos would have is if there were a lot of woods for their troops to take cover in. How they would be able to destroy the likes of the Collossus is a bit of a mystery to me, particualrly when Khorne's vehicles are forced to be on advance, it seems unlikely they'd get a chance to even open fire against them! Anyway, there's plenty more time for voting (don't expect to be in a position to do this for another few weeks), so maybe it won't be Squats v Chaos (hope hope!) .

Latest votes:

Marines: 0
Eldar: 2
Chaos: 3
Squats: 3
Imperial Guard: 1

Cheers Apoc! Latest votes (still plenty of time to register your dream match-up if you haven't already!):

Marines: 2
Eldar: 2
Chaos: 5
Squats: 3
Imperial Guard: 4

On a slightly different note, I was wondering if it would be worthwhile making Epic tutorial videos to try & attract new players. The idea came from coming across this video for the Star Wars X-Wing game

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuhwSma960Y

Clearly this is a professional video with graphics etc but I don't see why something similar but a little less polished couldn't be achieved. Thoughts?
