Yeah I'm having this problem too with most of the threads in most forum being marked as unread too.
Nothing helps though. Clicking the "mark topics read" button doesn't change their status and actually going into the threads and reading them don't help either.

A few threads are marked as read. It seems to me that the forum has gotten locked at a certain time a while back ago and it will not update the "read" status from that moment (for my account).

Ok, I have just "marked" all posts as read, and then I went back to the main index, where some indexes indicate 'new' posts, and going to those indexes there are indeed 'unread' posts even though pressing the "view unread posts" does not actually show them.

I don't know if it's any help but the following is an error note I get when I try to hit the button "mark forums read" on the forum index page.

Yeah seem to have solved the problem for me at least :)
The button worked for me now and the threads stay in "read" status and don't go back to "unread".

When searching for members, the "User Name Begins With" drop down menu doesn't seem to work, i.e. the dropdown is unpopulated.
