As in make old pinned topics appear at the top of the page still? Or default he date cut off from 30 days to something else - a year maybe?

OK. I have posted this question a number of times on the forum support boards and got no-where. So, as a temporary measure, I have changed the default cut off for all threads from 30 days to never. This should sort things out.
