Just for any of those of you who don't get it: I promised you all another newsletter earlier this week, so here it is and this one is just crammed full of new models! I’ll kick off with a few things we have mentioned in previous newsletters this time. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/dasymbols.htm 40K Dark Angel Icons. These really are sweet little sculptures from Simon Egan and allow you to personalise your vehicles even more. I can see a use for these icons on Dark Angel banners too. I’ve used Warhammer Orc plastic banners on my Dreadnoughts before and this works really well. Just cut out the icon you want and heat it in some hot water till it goes a bit soft. Then just fix it to your banner with a little superglue. There you go, the basis of an excellent Marine banner! The Forge World range of Tau BFG spaceships has proven incredibly popular and we are committed to making even more excellent Tau ships in the future. Do you want a look at Will Hayes’s latest creation for this exciting range? http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/castellan.htm The Castellan escort is roughly fifty percent larger than the Warden we released late last year and if you want to use it in games of BFG we would recommend using the same rules as a Tau Defender. While we’re on the subject of Tau, click here for more of Will Hayes’s work, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/epicorca.htm and here too, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/epicskyray.htm With the resurgence of Epic 40K and the popularity of the Forge World Epic Tau range it was impossible for us not to make the Orca Dropship in this smaller scale. Even as an Epic 40K model, the Orca measures about 3inches/75mm long! The Tau also gains a potent anti-aircraft weapon with the introduction of the Skyray. It is becoming very difficult to resist getting a new Epic 40K force with the new models we are making. Must resist! Need to buy food this month! There are some new rules available for using Tau in games of Epic Armageddon available to download here, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/downloadsepic.htm Now here is something BIG! http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/helltalon.htm This is the Chaos Hell Talon fighter-bomber, the latest creation from the desk of Daren Parrwood which measures in at approximately 370mm/14.5inches long! The Hell Talon is armed with a twin-linked Lascannon and either a Havoc Missile Launcher or an Autocannon. It can also carry up to eight Incendiary bombs with which it can create a swathe of destruction. Click here for rules, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/downloads40k.htm Simon Egan helped on this project by making the crew, giving us something so detailed it is almost a shame to hide them inside the craft. I Please note that in these photos of the master model, the canopy looks to be a solid block. Production canopies will be frames that you can insert perspex windows into just like many other Forge World models. All of these models are available to pre-order at http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalo....11.html for release week commencing March 1st but we do hope to have some available to buy at the ‘Cry Havoc’ show at Warhammer World in Nottingham on February 29th. That’s all for now folks. Speak to you all soon. Thx, Ewen Little, Forge World, Games Workshop, Willow Road, Lenton, Nottingham, NG7 2WS, UK. Glyn |

I must say that I'm not all that happy about the HellTalon but maybe that's just me... Too much Star Wars for my taste. What's up with using Imperial Knight names for the Tau BFG ships? ![]() Cheers! ![]() |

I was wondering who else would say something about the Helltalon. I thought first of the pilots looking like Tie fighter pilots from the first star wars movie. Now I look at it again it really does have the look of a tie fighter. Glad to see that the Tau have AA units now. I could do with them to balance things out. |

That is exactly what I said on the Epic Vault - a steam-rollered Tie Fighter. I still like it though. I dont like the Orca at all. |

Thank for the newsletter Glyn G ! I don't like the orca much; many players seem to want a gunship version of it; i dislike this idea even more; the boxy look of the model may be appropriate for a dropship-role machine; i would really prefer something sleeker to play a warengine role in the Tau list. I don't really like the hell talon. I would have preefred a larger wingspan; this kind of look is too contrasting with the classic GW design line. the details however are quite wonderful, so i overall find the model OK... i won't put 85? in that owever, i'm quite sure of this last point. Imperials and Eldar aircraft are much better imho. i'd really like to see variant landraiders (mainly the prometheus), and most of all pre-heresy and chaos reaver/warhound. new epic infantry would of course be wonderful, but i can't see it coming anywhere soon, by the Tony and Jervis (at least apparent) opinion about it. And boy, what about a Capitol imperialis, a Leviathan, or some coming back of the Ordinatus ? i know i would spend money on some "proper scaled" models for those... Athmos |

The Castellan isn't too shabby compared to the Warden, but I think the regular Tau escorts overall seem cooler. The Emissary, though, wow. |
