On the Specialist Games website, the pic of the day is of Jervis holding one of the first copies of the Epic:A rulebook!

Small note, he is holding a print sample of the rulebook. The book still needs to, AFAIK, go through a quick check for errors etc before it gets printed and sent to distribution.

Still darned exciting.

Jervis also said that they hope to have new PDFs of the rules avaialble in teh Vault at the end of next week.

Only 3 weeks until that Rulebook arrives at my doorstep :) Can't wait!!!

On a side note: does anyone here know what the UK online store P&P to continental Europe is? I ordered some Inquisitorial Henchmen, some Epic Hunters and of course the Epic Rulebook. The total was ?38 + ?2 p?p but my credit card has been charged ?51. I don't know if I've just misread something somewhere -It's been a while since I've ordered from the Uk store so I am not really sure what the charges within the EU is these days.

Warmaster, the same has happened to me just today, I received three Mordheim figures and the Necromunda Caller special character, and for GBP 28.09 got billed GBP8 for MRS Express mail to Malta (I never selected express delivery) and GBP6.32 VAT - never new that could apply for purchase from a foreign country! Total - 42.41, GBP14.32 of which is not metal or plastic or text! :angry:

I just downloaded the new .pdfs and noticed there are some really nice illustrations in the book. I especially like the executioner on p.86 and the assault marines on p.27 and the crazy grot bike on p.104, which just begs to be converted to name a few.

Now a question to the sneaky gits, er, _proficient playtesters_ who have the book: could you list the names of the artists in there?

AAAAAAAAARRGGGHHHH!!! Mojarn, you almost killed me! I checked the vault and found the NEW ELDAR PDF (check it out if you've not seen it) and saw NO FIREPRISM TROUPE!!!!! By the time my mechadendrites were calling the paramedics one of the brighter ones, VISEb2, realised that falcon squadrons can be upgraded to Fire Prism troupes. RELIEF! Ok, remember that I have no alcons yet and have been converting Fire Prism stand-ins like mad in the Eldar Diary...
I realise more than ever I need to invest in Falcons (and flyers!)
The sedative (qv) has now worn off.... :oo

Don't worry Vanvlak. You can trade in the falcons in the troupe  for fireprisms to make an all fireprism falcon troupe. (that sounded kind of weird :oo )

I agree the new illustrations are very nice! I wonder if any of them are in colour in the finished boook?

yes, you're certainly life-threatening.
The falcons I've converted to Firewings or Fireprisms or whatever are the old plastic ones you mention (I think) -  weapons too unlike the 'real' Falcon. Thanks though.

Woo.. got mine too, and wow.. it looks great, all full colour and very snazzy.. the new art shines particually- I love the jetpowered Ork monowheel thing.. ?:)

I also got a Reaver too.. however, a shoulderpad was missing.. I called MO and they said they would have to send me a new Reaver as no component service is available for Epic... free model, poor me eh.. :;):

So.... does anyone have a spare Reaver shoulderpad so I can complete them both?! ????
