Hello all Sororitas maniacs! The Sisters of Battle have received a new update, v 1.3, and it's biggest one ever! All the bugs present previously were corrected, a new rule added for Flamers and Meltaguns to simplify their use, and the Unofficial Units section has suddenly burst from nothing to whole 21 new units! (there is a little problem, tho- the datasheets are done, but no point values nor rules for fielding the unofficial stuff... oh, well, these are more for fun then for gaming, so there is always time)

Thanks again, 5th-Horseman.
I'm sure that this list will be up the same high standard of your other ones.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

So we can expect E-A to to arrive in 4-6 months time.
The question is where can you see it going from there?
I suppose Epic Magazine will make its comeback, but what sought of content will we see...
- Background, campaigns, scenarios, tactics, modeling and the odd variant list are a given, I suppose.
Will we see anything in the way of further rules development though?
Jervis has mentoned his plans for 'Return to Sulfur River' and to revisit AT.
I personally would love to see a variety of advanced/optional rules for covering special situations/warzones that would add flavour to the game. For example:
- Night Fighting - Even useing night vision equipment troops effectiveness is reduced and given the low-high tech future not all troops will be equipped with even that
- Various Weather Conditions - Imagine the effect of heavy rain on laser weapons, specially over long ranges.
- Low-G Worlds/Moons/Asteroids - could be interesting
- Themed Terrain - eg Deathworlds and Cityfights
- [B]An Experience System- I beleive someone has already tried to convert the one that was issued for E-40k.
- Rules for a map Campaign - Epic is probably musch more suited to this than 40k.
Thoughts?

JJ has said that EA's release will hail the return of the correspondoing mag, and I agree on its probable content. ?Most article will probably be fan submissions and no doubt it will be 33-50% advertisement with just a smattering of eyecandy...but that just me being cynical. ?Dont forget the essential 40k-EA-BFG crossover system too!
I agree with you, those type of rules you suggest are excellent and I and many here have their own thoughts an interpreations for them. ?The experience system was indeed revamped over at the EA boards, but it want much more than an update and didnt improve what is a rather inadequate system IMHO. ?Not that I have a better one ready to go mind you...
Campaign game? ?Absolutely! ?Once again I have my own thoughts and scribbles in a half baked file which I have been slowly working on.
I look forward to AT3 or whatever the update for EA system will be. ?I love the old titan rules, think they are worth languishing over the extra time on those big guys and cant wait to give them the attention they deserve
Not sure how the future relases were going to be handled though- I think (but not clearly!) that they are to be fully contained rulebooks witha ?background and the opposing armies etc.

Based on my passed Epic experiences, we can only hope for the best ... Hopefully E-A will do well enough that we see the release of all the Armies and even new forces like Tau & Necrons. Plus the "rumored" vacuformed Terrain (!). E-A is Epic 4.0 and I'm still not sure if JJ & Crew are "sure" of what the future holds beyond the SM, IG & Ork Armies ...

Oh yes BFG planetary assault links can't forget that! WHen Jervis first mentioned his plans to allow you to use BFG ships in our Epic games I got quite excited but was actually quite dissapointed with the outcome. Mindyou for your average game you want it to be decided by the soldiers and tanks not the orbital barrages.
And Epic Vacuformed terrain sounds interesting. I wouldn't of thought that sought of thing would be very profitable, as it would have very low circulation. Mind you they did do that piece for inquisitor. Terrain wise I would be more than happy if they just rereleased the ruins from E40k or the card buildings form SM/TL. Can't see that happening though.
We'll have to develop some of these ideas Tas and try and get a credit in the Epic mag for us and the site.

I'm saving my $ for E-A rules, models, terrain, everything ! As I have for all Epic releases. Primarch and I (and a some others) have been around the Epic block a few times, so anything is possible. But?a year from now ... who knows !? ?

Me too. I can feel my bank account emptying already...
I just hope they realise some of the sales potential they have and start releasing fluff-based battle/campaign books for E-A. How does Epic Campaigns sound? Let's see: Great Crusade offers many possibilities as does Horus Heresy. Armageddon (1st, 2nd, & 3rd), First Tyrannic War, Ground war in Gothic sector, Macharian Crusade, Sabbat Cluster crusade... the list goes on.
For each book, a series of scenarios and a campaign system to link them plus ideas to make your own.
There would be plenty of potential to release new models and keep the game alive. Ah well, we can always hope.

Why don't we just do it over the net... I will give you a game and we can send updates to Incoming!
We don't need a DM for the rules as they are designed to not require one and we can use PBEM.com for the dice rolling, (it generates the result and emails all players to prevent cheating.
I might even create CGI front end to simplify matters as EOTS is just a grid (note: not a full game just a automatically generated map).
Start it at the W/E if you want . It needs more playtesting, as far as I know it has only been used twice and then the person in charge insisted on being DM for it... despite the whole concept behind it negated the need for a DM.

Hmm.... could literally do the entire EOT campaign, or even a Heresy as the campaign rules are on such a large scale.

Hi!
That would be a great idea!
It's been a long time since we had a good epic campaign going.
