Hello everyone.
Sorry for being away, bbut things should get back to normal soon. I have a new job, so will get broad band and have access to the net again shortly.
While I've been off line, I have had quite a few games. The guy I was teaching epic to is a big fan now, and we play at least once a week.
After a 100% win record with Orks against his guard, I switched to Eldar on Friday for an esculating engagement encounter, and was soundly thrashed.
I was to used to my Ork tactics, and threw my army in without thinking. They were decimated.
Still it was a tremendously fun game, and attracted a lot of attention at the local club again.
So much so that we both now have a game planned for the next club night this friday teaching two more players, with others also wishing for a game.
At this rate I may get the opportunity to get a campaign going a the local club.
May I still say that Supa Stompas rule, and Ork fighta bombas kick warlord titan ass.

Yup, that is a good way to lose. There couldn't be two completely opposite forces. The Eldar are definitely a 'hit n' run' force, as opposed to the Ork 'run up and stomp you' method.
my 2cents,

I think it is great to hear the attention E:A is generating. Then again GW 6mm gaming has been away from the "easily accessible" market for quite a while so there's a whole generation of young bloods out there who has never seen this type of game before.
Cheers!

Version 10.62 of Eldar is due out any time. From JJ's description, it sounds like a solid improvement, fixing some balance issues and (best of all) some flavor issues.
My guess is there will be one final tweak from this version to the printed list just to finalize points and _possibly_ tune the EoV one last time.

The bit on the Storm Serpent becoming a moblie Warp gate is simply a stroke of brilliance! Very nice indeed!

It's a new unit based on the Eldar SHT chassis. It was basically a superheavy transport. Now it's an SHT supporting a warpgate so that Eldar units can step out of the webway next to it.
Incidentally, the Great Hawk is another Eldar SHT using an enlarged nightspinner/deathspinner array.

Complements. You can see the Storm Serpent here - or at least, my interpretation - the 'carrying' of a portal will be catered for by the spikes at the front - lazy!

Primarch | Complements.
When it was a transport, they had very similar roles and there was significant disagreement over whether they were worth it. I thought they were marginally better for twice the points - ugh - but some people liked them as being more aggressive.
Anyway, with the teleport gate, they are now quite different, and not entirely unlike a necron monolith.
