I can host a copy on my EpicA page if you want - it's still under construction (has been for about 2 years). I look forward to trying v2 out, will get on to playtesting in september when my club starts up again. (It seems signatures are still hard to read, but I can put a copy on epica.2-72.co.uk) |

Hena, Thanks for the response. Here is where my thoughts were for this revision. 1. Tunnellers and BTS. I dislike entire-drop/teleport army lists, it is a pet peeve of mine. I find the game hinging on one turn to be tiresome. My decision to keep the Khthon cradle units on the table leaves me with a advantage and vulnerability (by design) that I did not want compounded by making the default BTS goal to be one of these formations (assuming they would be alone on the table for up to two turns), and you are correct in that it is ill-advised to take an all Tunneller army. I could easily leave it alone and let players attempt an all Tunneller list, but because of the Khthons I created tactical problem that I hope compels the player to consider a well rounded combined-arms army selection. I wanted to reinforce the point by not allowing the BTS to be hidden in a Tunneller. Do you have any suggestions or experiences that may shed light on this issue? 2. The intent for the reference sheet is to play with plenty of simple reminders (mostly for me ? ![]() 3. Thanks for the catch, it is min 30cm as per the normal rules, silly error on my part... ![]() 4. I did not think such language was necessary, but I see your point. At present since the core rules do not address templates in a generic reference this may be needed. Hopefully the FAQ for Barrages could be worked up to a guideline for how all template weapons are treated, but again, for now you are correct and I should add some notes. Great thoughts, thanks! |

Hena, One of the suggestions I made to ePilgrim was to change the BP weapons on the Leviathan / Cyclops main guns from 3BP to 2BP. This would have a huge impact given the new experimental rules (go from hitting on a 4+ to a 5+). Do you think this would help mitigate the units or no? And having experienced mole morters, they aren't fun. I can't say one way or the other if they are OVERpowered, but your breakdown points-wise has some merit. Hmmm.. |
