So, I was searching the online store and noticed that there is no longer a ManOWar section in the archives. Did I miss it being moved somewhere else (like the last time they shuffled everything around), or is it gone? |

Hi! I heard someone mention this on another board, but it turn out they shuffled it around. Then again they do change things without notice. ![]() Primarch |

Scratchbuild a full 2-4K E:A army! No buy cheap models crazy stuff, just hardcore plastic, clay, putties, and assorted random junk! Lower than low costs, mediocre model quality, but still looking like an army. I thought both orks and LatD qualify for such a project, my preference being LatD. So, now here's my questions for you: -What army should I take? -How should I do it? Building ideas are all welcomed. -Any ideas for a start? I wanna start with 2K, does anyone have any ideas for a 2K ork/LatD list? Frecus The glade wanderer Madwarrior |

Hmmm, are you really sure you want to do this, afterall most of the basic plastics are really cheap on e-bay, provided you're careful ![]() However it would be interesting to see how you get on, I'll see if I can think of any helpful hints. LotD would be my choice ![]() |

Hi Frecus. That sounds like quite a task. I'd recommend that you go for a vehicle heavy army. Modelling 5 miniatures to a base is going to be a lot of work. Another reccomendation would be to go for an army with high points cost so you don't have to build as many models. You could build a Necron army perhaps? Cheers! ![]() |

Hmmm... I agree with those, but necrons are themselves hard to build... I also thought of speed freeks, who can get all buggiez & wagonz. I made a little list for that option, containing 32 buggiez, 3 speedstas, 7 gunwagonz, 1 scorcha & 1 badboyz, 12 deathkoptas, 12 gunwagonz, 5 fighta bommerz. I could take more gunwagonz & less buggiez... Frecus The glade wanderer Madwarrior |

I got a new speed freek idea! I got an idea for a unit of massive monowheels with guns attached to the axis to represent 9 buggies. I also reduced a lot of building time by taking a total of 8 gunfortresses. So what do you think of this list: Da mastas blitz brigade, 8 gunwagonz, mekboy speedsta, bad ork smallwheelz (bike boyz), 2 flakwagonz...370 Blitz brigade, 4 gunwagonz, mekboy speedsta, flak wagon, gunfortress...370 Kult of speed, 8 deth wheelz (buggies), speedsta, extra deth wheel (buggy)...275 Blitz koptas, 4 deth koptas...150 Huge gunfortress mob, 6 gun fortresses, extra gun fortress...835 Total: 2K Models: 40 Frecus The glade wanderer Madwarrior |

Ok, the mind is set. I've now got enough arguments: -Not a lot of models. -No flesh, so easier to build. -My real world name is 'Freek' (pronounced like frayk in my country). -I'm speedy (20-25 mph on average on the bike to school daily). So now, I've started on the mekaniak bad ork bikeboy unit from the WD speed freek list, and am building myself 3 big wheels with a small cabin on the axis, where the ork will sit, along with a big engine and gunz! I love the monowheel idea. I wanted to do the same thing for my speed freeks, but couldn't ever find a set of bits that I thought would work. I was thinking something along the lines of the grot-monowheel illustration in the rulebook with the orks perched on top and rocket engines/gunz mounted on the hubz. Please share what you decide to use as bits. I'd love to hear it. |

I already built them (1 base, to be my mekaniak supreme commander guy thingy). I used some corrugated cardboard, some paper, some thick card, and metalwire. Cut 2 circles from the corrugated card, ang glue together. Glue a strip of paper around the edge of the wheel, closing the space in the cardboard. Glue roughly cut round shapes to the sides of the wheel, indicating the edge of the engine/crew compartment. Cut small pieces of wire, and glue them on as exhausts and guns. Glue the wheel on a base. I made these about 15 mm in diameter, how big shall I make the buggies? 2 cm? bigger? And btw, how big are the gunfortresses? is 4-5 cm long enough? *Thinks of glueing 27 pieces of corrugated card, and sighs* Frecus The glade wanderer Madwarrior |

Ok, which certain models are you looking the size of and I'll see what I can do..... probably others will too, as they may have models closer to hand. |
