I posted an updated list in .doc format to the EpicA Yahoo group. ?PG is going to pdf it and post it to the epic_lists group also.

I split the termies into rubric and chosen, added some background and explanatory notes, and generally cleaned it up (proof, edit, etc.).

I am still open to input if anyone has anything they want to comment on. ?And, of course, I'd love to hear any playtest results.

I almost forgot... color scheme for the Storm Lords Titan Legion was initially blue and purple, with white and black checks for accent.  The blue was a medium/royal blue and the purple was very light, almost lavender.

Have you got any pics of a Storm Lords Titan?  maybe from an old AT or something?  Sounds good!

Neal : where did you get the titan colours from? Is there somewhere it states what colours certain titan legions had?

As I worked on this post, it slowly became a minor tour de force of titan links.

Armocast lists the following sources on their site from when they had the GW license:

http://www.armorcast.com/warhammer40k/PaintingTips.html

TITAN PAINT SCHEMES REFERENCE SOURCES
The second edition Titan Legions Codex Titanicus book has color schemes for three Imperial Titan orders (Legio Victorum, Legio Ignatum, Legio Metallica) and two unspecified Eldar Titan clans as well as Goff and Evil Sunz Ork clans.

The first edition Adeptus Titanicus rulebook has color schemes for the Imperial Fire Wasps and traitor Death's Heads Titan orders as well as a useful short article on painting Epic Titans.

The first edition Codex Titanicus book has color schemes for three more Imperial Titan orders (Warp Runners, Morning Stars, War Griffons) and two more traitor orders (Flaming Skulls, Stormlords). Also described and pictured are four Eldar Titan clans.

The old Battle Titans box also has Epic size banners and flags for Imperial Titan orders Fire Brands, Imperial Fists and Imperial Hunters and traitor orders Tiger Eyes, and Fire Masters.

=======

Scott Shupe's Eye of Terror page (now static) also has a link for heresy era titan banners that could help with logos and color schemes.

http://home.earthlink.net/~sshupe/EPIC/banners.html

============

Since Armorcast's listing above, I know GW has added (in Citadel Journal):

http://www2.vigyan.com/ilibrar....Legions

Burning Stars/Suns of Damnation (pre/post heresy names, Tzeentch, no color scheme stated, Princeps Skylok)

Silver Scythes/Festering Death (pre/post heresy, Nurgle, no colors, Princeps Bubonis)

===========

There is a knight house that fell to Slaanesh during the seige of Terra and which started the Slaanesh knight daemon engines, but there seems to be no additional detail.  I did find a "Spawns of Horus" titan legion dedicated to Slaanesh which might tie in, but it was in a home-grown set of rules and I don't know if it was drawn from a GW source or not.  It's here:

http://home.earthlink.net/~sshupe/EPIC/ ... itans.html

=======

Maybe I should just start cataloguing this crap.
:oo

Hi!

Thanks for posting the summary and links Neal, its a valuable resource.

Are we pinning this kind of post? I think it would be worth it.

I've seen in a few places that the Salamander light vehicle is being used as a command model in a number of EpicA IG company formations. Is this correct? As I'm probably going to put in a Forgeworld order sometime soon, is it worth getting some at this point? Does anyone know if the Salamander will be a essential piece of Imperial kit in the official Guard army once the game proper gets released or if it will disappear from their list?
