If an Assault ends in a tie, and another round of combat is to be fought, do units with First Strike get to use first strike again? Or is it only for the initial combat round.

Hello! A few questions again! 1. When using aircrafts on CAP do make their interception attack, do they fly in a straight line towards the enemy aircrafts, or can they choose a path, to avoid enemy AA ground fire and to avoid the firing arcs on the enemy aircrafts they are attacking? 2. When exactly do you declare if you want to use a unit on CAP to conduct their attack? After the enemy have made their approch move towards their target, or before? Ie. can you let your ground forces make their AA attacks against the enemy aircrafts before you decide to use your CAP? 3. How does blast markers/suppression work with ground units with AA? Can they be supressed so they can't make a flak attack and how do you decide if they are? (Where is the back and fornt of the formation?) 4. On page 49 in the rulebook, the FAQ says: 64 4.2.4 Flak Attacks Q: Can units with weapons that don't have an AA value be supressed when makinga flak attackj? A: Yes, and they only need to be within range as all ground units have a line of fire to flying aircraft? What do they mean by that? I don't think I understand the context. Thanks! |

1) When you declare CAP you place them on the board edge facing a certain direction, they come in there and have to move at least 30cm before you get to turn. After that though, you're free to approach the target formation however you like. 2) After the approach move, see the FAQ for 4.2 https://tp.net-armageddon.org/tournament-pack/#aircraft 3) Back of the formation is determined relative to where the aircraft were at any point along their approach move. If at some point they aren't suppressed and within range then they can fire at the aircraft. 4) It means you don't have to worry about the line of sight requirement to be suppressed, only the range requirement. 5) First strike happens every round, assuming the unit's in a position to use it (i.e. if it's a base contact attack they have to be in base contact at the start of the second round). |
