Hi everybody,

I'm looking for rules for the less common Leman Russ variants. I've found some for the normal one, the Demolisher, Vanquisher, Executioner, and Exterminator. But what about the others, such as the Annihilator, Punisher, Eradicator, and Incinerator. Are there rules (probably fan-made) out there for EA, and where can I find them?

The Incinerator is found in the 30k solar aux forces. Go check it on EpicAU for that one.
The Eradicator was pretty hard in EA to differentiate from the Executioner so kinda the same stats. EG change the name and you're all set.
We've got a Punisher in my Penal Legion fan-list and maybe the Heavy Mech fanlist as well IIRC. Nothing in any NetEA lists. Probably works as well as count-as Exterminator so why it's never really been pushed for.
The Annihilator is an interesting one to of left out and don't got a good explanation but it's just a LR dropping the battle cannon for a twin linked LasCannon. Probably a points drop in Minervan or Ulani costs if you thew it there.

Is the Eradicator more like an Executioner, or a Demolisher? I don't think I can handle another E-word, I keep mixing up the Executioner and Exterminator.

I agree with Jimmy, it's surprising that the Annihilator was left out because it's been around longer than the others you've mentioned. Forge World introduced it to the 28mm game together with the E-variants and Conqueror... you'd expect it to be in the DKoK and Minervans lists. There's less interest in newer GW models because they're squeezing them into niches that were kinda filled already.

It's got a nova cannon high explosive Cannon (not to be confused with the OTHER Nova Cannon they but on battlecruisers). So basically a more powerful Demolisher. In EA it'd be a Demolisher with MW basically. Too many Es :)

Yeah we used to take the Annihilator in our games. Fits into being the AT counterpoint to the Exterminator (twin linked autocannons) so it even has a spot. Really one of those additions that should be made I feel. Hell the old 3rd edition predator turret stuck on a Leman Russ makes a perfect kitbash that is easy and attainable.

Eradicator Nova Cannon... Quite good anti-infantry and ignore cover. I imagine something like:
Range 30cm
Firepower: AP4+ Ignore Cover

Both Eradicator and Annihilator would be cheaper than the standard LRBT

The Demolisher is 30cm AP3+/AT4+, Ignore Cover :)

Yeah that's worse than a Demolisher already. It's probably a MW Russ which is exactly why I mentioned the Eradicator isn't used. At EA d6 level of granularity it's either IDENTICAL to a Demolisher (non MW) or Executioner (MW). The only tweak would be to give them HB sponsons instead of Plasma but even in 40k, ALL Russes can take those too so they're not a defining trait of the Demolish. For friendly play I'd try a non slowfire Executioner OR instead a 1BP Nova Cannon for... +10pt?

Non slowfire executioner with some mechanic to represent the volatile nature of the Ammo. These things are supposed to be death traps. +0 points

Silly head on, say 2 on a 2D6 and it just blows up with no save. Doesn't count towards enemy kills in a tie, the Guard kinda expected it, blast markers as normal.

That's waaaay beyond the level of abstraction used in EA. even Orks don't have those kinds of rules.

Also sorry but MW Russ without slow fire is worth WAY more than an executioner. Adding no points is silly talk.

What about those variants' hull and sponson weapons? Should I just stick with a hull mounted lascannon and heavy bolter sponsons, or go all crazy with variants?

Depends on if there are models available or planned for these variants.
If not, I would probably go with set hull and sponsor weapons depending on main weapons. I.e. heaby bolters for AP main weapon.

I'm currently working on proxies for the Punisher (big gatling cannon turret), the Conqueror ('light' battlecannon), Eradicator (Nova cannon), and Incinerator (volkite weapon).

Now for the Incinerator proxy I'm planning on giving it a pulse laser hull weapon and heavy machine guns on the sponsons (which are removable anyways). However, for the Punisher, Conqueror and Eradicator proxies I'm a bit in doubt as to what to give them. Any suggestions?

what do you mean by "what to give them"? You mean sponson weapons or the hull weapons?

For the former I'd say it doesn't really matter as they're removable in your models IIRC and should all be a standardized set for the centurion irrespective of chassis, no?. If you needed to be conservative for the core set then a heavy machine gun one would be the most applicable for the tank. The others can be an options sprue people can purchase from VGM that want something to change things up. Heavy Bolters, Heavy Flamers, Multi-meltas or Plasma Cannons can be put on any turreted Leman Russ so having those as equivalent options would be a great idea.

Be aware that there's 0 limitations on Leman Russ tanks taking their choice of sponson weapons (or even taking them at all) in 40k. The only reason we have them on EA is to provide a "protypical" loadout and to give the tank enough oommph for balance reasons. Some of the variants don't even take them in EA as well (ulani conqueror for example as it's based on the FW 6mm model). Irrespective, it's so common in EA to see tank models with and without regardless of the unit for the list due to the well practiced concept of counts-as in EA I don't think you need to sweat it too much. For instance, my LR Punishers have a mix of a plasma cannons and no sponsons for the actual models. Depending on what list I am playing they just as easily are 'regular' Leman Russ as they are Punishers and wysiwyg isn't that big a deal in EA provided it's absolutely clear what they are to your opponent ("Hey since I am playing Steel Legion the LR Detachment is only 6 regular Leman Russ tank. These neato punishers I made over here? yeah regular tanks. Cool? great..." would be a very common exchange in the 5min warmup)

Nova cannon is way worse than a Demolisher cannon. It's just an anti-infantry ignore cover weapon (it has no punch against tanks), very much like a Hellhound flame gun.

What does a Volkite weapon do?? I'm not into 30k... basically frying targets??
