I knuckled down and added AT18. A prerequisite was to fix the mapping software so it uses a Google API key. The API key allows google to track, and therefore charge for usage. Hillariously (sarcasm) MiniWars went over the daily limit, so you may see an error on the map from time to time. It doesn't affect searching. There is some caching in the mapping software, so hopefully this should only appear when I clear the cache (not that often). We'll see. |

Well, it seems Google has killed the player finder. A drastically lowered free usage limit on Google Maps and an effective cost increase of around 1,400% for using the API means I cannot continue the service in its current form. Maybe cheaper or open source maps could be used, but that's a conundrum for another day. I have left the Epic and Mini360 sections of the site open. Thanks to all those who supported me in this little project. |

Elsmore- really sorry to hear about this. While I hadn’t found any players local to me (due to the remote nature of where I live rather than your tool!) I liked the tool and what you were trying to achieve. Hope you find a solution soon. |

It is a real pity that you had that blunder, as as a person that travel around the map has been very valuable to me. I will cheer you on it, and hope you can get it back. |
