Hello guy´s, thinking of making some mdf bases and wonder if there is any interest in small oval bases to base infantry/flyers to use in epic. Or maibe they are just too cuddly ![]() |

I currently use primarily 20x40mm and 30x40mm bases from Sarissa Precision, cut from 2mm MDF. The only way to sway me to use different bases would be if you could manage the same thickness but with recessed holes for infantry bases. |

Im perfecly happy that people keep using their usual circular and square bases, im more interested in knowing if there is interest in bases with odd shapes to make the army look diferent, like oval bases and i even remmenber seeing an army of dark elves on lozenge Bases that looked very cool. Regarding bases with recessed holes for the models, they are quite tricky to make And would use alot of machine time, and that would make them expensive unfortunatly. I did trip on a project by brumbaer of transparent bases with recessed holes for the minis that looks great, so im pondering to produce those. |

I have done the custom base thing. Mine were CAD'd and laser cut in two layers: one top MDF layer with holes for the infantry, stuck to the (magnetic) bottom layer. http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/view ... =7&t=28031 |

Wow, congrats on the great looking army, and i do love the look of the bases. Also just explored from there and found Tc63 buildings and roads, and they look great as well. Love the modularity and the cathedral, hope he manages to release them for general use ![]() |

All my cases are covered with magnetic strip, so for my bases it's hard to beat 1p and 2p coins. They are already ready to stick to the magnets, and are as cheap as they get. |

The "hole in the base" thing is done by Sally 4th by simply producing two layers. You use spray adhesive or whatever to glue the solid movement tray base to the layer that has the holes lasered out of it. |
