the second link is very good thanks, I'd tried googling around by my search-fu is weak..... I blame the cold that's currently laying me low....

did any of the specialist games ever get featured in white dwarf? it seems that they really stopped trying at that point which is a crying shame.... I almost certainly would have bought VAST warmaster armies if I actually knew what it was about and how it worked and was different to WFB, but I don't recall it ever getting a mention in WD or in my local GW store, back then you had to know the secret handshake it seemed... shame as the E40k era models along with much of the warmaster range, were among the very finest models produced by GW and I feel like I missed out to a large degree!

Kyuss, after epic 40k didn't do so good, I don't think the specialist reboot got much exposure in WD. By that time it had become an advertisement posing as a magazine with mainly 40k and WFB.

They did do those side magazines like firepower and such were the specialist lines were covered, but the magazine didn't last long beyond the "reorganization".

The great bulk of WD was for AT1 and SM2/titan legions.

Primarch is right. After Epic 40K's launch fell flat, it disappeared from White Dwarf altogether, so as far as that is concerned, it's only SM2/Titan Legions and earlier which would need to be indexed. There is an old issue of White Dwarf which I own that includes such an index, but I can't recall which number it is, so cannot dig it out at this time.

Other specialists games tended to be featured for one or two issues, such as Inquisitor, and I believe Warmaster, but Epic was the one to appear most regularly, but only before specialist games came into being as a category.

Hi!

The project is many years old. I had a huge setback once when my hard drives died and I had no backup. It was a tremendous loss, since I was almost finished.

I have done some work on it with better equipment (document feeder style scanner), but I'm kind of picky on the scan quality and keep redoing it.

The main issue is the magazines. I can remove the pages from the binding for easy scanning, but I have been reluctant to do so. Scanning page by page is a nightmare though.

One of the many projects to be done.

Well remembered, it is . I thought that there was also an index in a later issue than that though. I'll have to undertake a more comprehensive check when I have time.
