Having only just become overwhelmed with regret at having sold off all my 6mm armies from my youth, I've resolved to rebuild new (hopefully improved!) armies for EA. Unfortunately, as is most likely old news, the open second-hand/ebay market is, to put it as politely as I can manage, pretty pricy for a casual buyer. Therefore I turn to the excellent proxies out there. This is where I turn to you!

My current aim is to build up two forces (initially). Imperial Guard and Adeptus Astartes., although Onslaught keeps on tempting me with the promise of Sisterhood units... Anyway, I digress. I've got the bulk of my forces planned out using Exodus Wars and hopefully some Defeat In Detail figures, but I've not come across a good proxy for the Sentinel - and it's a unit I plan to take many, many of. Likewise the Space Marine Dreadnought. Suggestions of what's out there would be very handy.

The other question I have is one of preference and proxying the ages-old Leman Russ. I love the appearance of the Exodus Wars Guild MBTs, but with all my Chimera and variant needs using the same hull I feel I should go for something ever so slightly chunkier. I've considered using Dark Realm Miniatures tanks, but I'm unsure as to relative scales between the two lines. Your learned thoughts on the use of the Exodus Wars tanks for Leman Russ, or advice on scales between those and DRM tanks will be appreciated.

A lot of use. Definitely clears up the Leman Russ and remaining SM questions I had. Even pointed out a few details that I hadn't considered. Thank you!

I'm still somewhat torn on Sentinels - I see buggies that might be an interesting take, but no real walker substitutes. Any less obvious suggestions?

I saw someone use Dark Realm/Pax Arcadia/Vehicles/Javelin Light Hoverscouts as proxied sentinels. Looked great in my opinion.

If you're still looking for Leman Russ analogues Troublemaker Games might help. Have a look at these
http://www.troublemakergames.co.uk/webstore_DiD_CBP.htm
The hull is 37mm long and 18 wide (not including sponsons)

For how much I've been drooling over their upcoming flyers, I'm amazed I missed these.

Thank you!
