Post subject: | Supporting fire from War engines and special units |
This question appeared in a game yesterday and im looking for help solving it when per example a Storm Serpent (DC3) and a Wraithguard are in a position to lend support in an assault, does the war engine supports the assault with 1 dice, or with 3 dice? (1 dice would be using only the FF value listed for the unit, 3 dice would be because of being a DC3) and does the wraithguard supports the assault with 1 dice, or 2 dice, and in the case of 2 dice would 1 of them be MW? (1 dice would be using just the unit FF value, 2 dice with MW would be using the units "special abilities") the rules for supporting fire say: "Roll to hit using the firefight values of the supporting formations, and then allocate hits and make saving throws as you would do for shooting attacks. Once all casualties have been removed you must work out the result of the attack (see 1.12.7)." So the wording might seem a bit ambivalent if units use just the FF number, or special abilities like extra attacks and MW as well. Thanks in advance |

Consider support additional FF, anything the unit would get in FF it will get in support. |
