As some of you may know, I've been running a Shapeways store for a while now, GrimDarkBits (http://www.shapeways.com/shops/grimdarkbits), that recently attempted to pick up GW's slack on "Specialist" miniatures. Today I finally received a very polite notice from Games Workshop Legal to remove any offending models from my store. This was a long time coming, honestly, but this little venture has always been a calculated risk - basically taking models I was making for personal use anyway, and making them available to the public after the loss of Specialist Games support. I'm asking for a complete list of offending models, and once I receive a reply, it will take me a few days at least to physically remove the specified models from the store. So for those who are interested, there might be a week or two to pick up anything you may have been eyeballing. The store will remain open after that with the remaining catalog, and I'll continue making new models in the future as well. Thanks for looking! - Ted GrimDarkBits |

No, I likely won't be fighting anything. While Chapterhouse's owner was relying on the company to make a living, I'm just doing this as a hobby. Making most of these models available publicly was an afterthought, and only spurred on by GW's crapping on Specialist Games. I hardly make any money on these anyway; it really wouldn't be worth trying to defend in court. I'll see what they say about which models they take issue with, and push back on anything I can, but most likely I'll be taking down whatever they don't like. |

Well if past behavior is any indicator of future actions, they'll probably ask for you to delete all files, burn your computer, surrender your left testicle, and finally commit seppuku. I'd tell them to get bent if they try anything with your original ships, for instance. |

Good to see your BFG suitable ships are still flying around... perhaps you should rename them ^^ I also saw the Obelisk is still available... is it because Grandma Wendy never released Artwork and stuff for that one or will it be deleted in the close future? |
