When a formation takes an action and leaves a unit out of formation when does the unit die? Does the unit die before shooting/assaulting - giving the formation a blast marker, or does the death of the out of formation occur at the end of the turn? |

Immediately after the unit takes the movement part of its action (page 16, MRB). So before shooting/assaulting. |

Yep. According to 1.7.4, it happens at the end of the movement when the unit is left out of coherency. That means prior to shooting/assaulting (with the exception of Eldar hit-n-run, obviously). |
