Hi All My warhound was purchased via ebay, and I have the large base (same size as the Warlord base). This seems too big for the warhound and since I am buying some dice from a co that supplies bases I thought I might just get the correct sized base. Could anyone please clarify the correct size? Thanks |

the FW ones come with 40mm round bases, they fit on them with a little room to spare |

In days of yonder they came with 40mm square. Mine are mounted on Games Workshop 40mm bases with their lips sanded down so the rim is the same height as the rest of my army (making them slightly smaller than 40mm diameter). ![]() Most people plump for the Games Workshop 40mm round out of convenience. ![]() |

I like using the large Titan base (Reaver/Warlord sized) as it gives you room to pose them walking etc. |

I think the large bases may be problematic when trying to move between buildings etc... |

I use 40mm wooden ones from Ebay. 2mm thick so fit neatly in with normal bases and pennies. |

40mm square is standard. |

I also use 40mm x 40mm square bases. I think they give me plenty of room to pose the model without overly restricting the titan's ability to fit between buildings, etc. The ones I use are plastic from GW. They used to come in the Warhound package with 2nd edition was being produced. Anything of equal size should work as well. Attachment: warhounds.jpg [ 6.27 KiB | Viewed 1695 times ] -Allen McCarley |

There is no ideal or prescribed size; just go for whatever you think looks best. 40, 50 and 60 mm round or square bases are easily available and good options. Personally I go for 60mm round for my Warhounds. |

I like 60mm for Battle Titans, 40mm for Scout titans and 25mm for AV-size walkers; It gives a good indication of class at a glance. ![]() But choice of bases is just as much a matter of style - go for something that looks good together with the rest of the army. Some of my Warhounds came from eBay on square bases, I rebased them mostly so they matched the round bases of the rest of the force. |
