Whilst the Epic Uk tournament rules state that 20x20mm and 10x40mm bases are legal for tournaments I was just wondering about jetbikes/bikes and mounted troop bases. Would it still be legal to use/base these miniatures on 20x40mm stands - as the bikes/mounted troops need deeper bases.

Furthermore, what's the maximum or favoured base size for objective markers?

Thanks,

Yes, you'll find everything from GW's square and strip bases to 20x40 mm, 1p, 2p coins, small flames of war bases and even self made irregular shaped bases at UK events.
As long as they are not too big you won't have any problems.

Objectives are usually between 20x20 mm upto Titan base sized (some can be bigger or smaller).
A lot of players prefer to measure from the center of an objective marker (or specific point on a marker), especially if players have different sized objectives. Some like to play the whole base, which is fine with similar sized objectives.
If your unsure bring it up and agree which way to play it in the 5 min warm-up.

Note that it's also legal not to use objective markers, and just say things like "that building is my objective". Few actually choose to do that, but it's specifically allowed in the rules.
