How does a unit in transports with a dreadnought attached function on the battlefield. Does the whole unit move at the slowest speed or does the dread grab a hold of the rhino and turn on rollerskating mode?

Or are the dreads just bought with the unit and don't necessarily move with it?

All units in the formation have to stay within coherency. So anything in Rhinos would definitely be slowed down by a Dread. In EA people usually take a Dread and no Rhinos if they plan to garrison, or if they're deploying via Drop Pod.

gocha thanks m8.

I'm thinking that the devastator units will get dreads for fire support and the drop pod marines too.

They're fun in drop lists. I've taken 2 LC/ML Dreads in a Devastator detachment and 1 AC/PF each in two Tacticals before. The first puts out a lot of fire and the second are good assault formations/line holders.

Don't forget you can put characters in them too. :P

Ditto on the drop formations. Dreads are perfect for them.

And Dreads can ride in Thawks. Devs + 2 Dreads or Tacs + dread both work.
