Hi I am about to start shopping for an Epic army in earnest, so before I take the credit card out I would appreciate any feedback, thoughts and ideas on the army lists I've drawn up.
Krieg look like they could be a fun and thematic army to play, but as a newer player I'd appreciate any experienced opinions that can help make this a competitive and challenging army to play. Thanks!
Option 1: Defensive Set up, supreme commander's infantry defends while the artillery does some damage, later the other infantry with gorgons roll forward to take objectives. The Medusas and earthshakers have trojans rather than gun emplacements with the intention of the trojans being used as wounds rather than for their mobility. The anti air is a mix of 2 hydras and 1 heavy because although hydra damage output it better, there may be times where the longer range of the heavy increases the chance of a blast marker being placed.
Supreme Commander 19 Infantry - 400 Fire support - 75
Commander 19 Infantry - 300 Fire Support - 75 Two Gorgons - 125 2 Hydra 1 Heavy AntiAir - 125 3 Medusa (with trojans) - 275 3 Earthshaker (with trojans) - 200 2 Shadowsword 1 Baneblade - 500 Warhounds - 500 Warhound - 275 Marauder Heavy Bomber - 150
Option 2: Offensive Artillery hits from the rear to soften up before a major offensive by massed infantry in gorgons and 4 warhounds. The supreme commanders squads travel in 2 gorgons with a Macharius tank (rather than fire support). The Marauder is removed for a 4th warhound, so this list has no airforce. No heavy tanks.
Supreme Commander 19 Infantry - 400 1 Macharius Tank - 125 Two Gorgons - 125 Commander 19 Infantry - 300 Fire Support - 75 Two Gorgons - 125 2 Hydra 1 Heavy AntiAir - 125 3 Medusa (with trojans) - 275 3 Earthshaker (with trojans) - 200 Deathstrike Silo - 250 2 Warhounds - 500 2 Warhounds - 500 3000
Option 3: Balanced A mainly defensive army with the engineers for a late-game objective grab. The commander's infantry gets bunkers and will take position in midfield. 25 pts unspent. Supreme Commander 19 Infantry - 400 Fire support - 75 Two Gorgons - 125
Commander 19 Infantry - 300 Fire Support - 75 80cm Trenches 4 bunkers - 100
2 Hydra 1 Heavy AntiAir - 125 3 Medusa (with trojans) - 275 3 Earthshaker (with trojans) - 275 8 Engineers with Hades Breaching Drill - 300
Warhounds - 500 Warhound - 275 Marauder Heavy Bomber - 150
2975 - I hate having points left over >:D

In options 1 and 2 you have 2 BTS formations, which is usually not a good idea.

I agree with DS on the BTS.
Also I don't believe you can take fire support option and Gorgon option with the Infantry units, as they would need to be in a transport too and you only got room for the 20 stands.
