A few Noob Qs:

1: Can a unit split fire between AP/AT. The group I play with says that it is chosen on a weapon type by weapon type basis. E.G, all autocannons will shoot AP, all Multilasers will shoot AT, and so on.. is this correct or is it shot by shot?

2: Can Flak attacks be suppressed? Our group does not seem to think so, and by reading the rulebook, there is nothing in there regarding supression of AA (whether a flak battery or as part of a mixed AA and non-AA formation). All it says is it is a 'free shot'.

3: Can Manticores that are 'reloading' be used for suppression?

1) Yes. You can split in any way you want on a per weapon basis. For instance a Vulcan Megabolter can use only 4x AP4+ OR 4x AT4+, but a pair can each use a different fire type.

2) Yes, however any unit may count for supression, not just one with an AA attack. This makes it useful to make your AA organic to a core formation, as it will take more shots to supress.

3) Yes, they can. They still have a 150cm ranged weapon, it counts whether it can fire or not. THe same goes for One Shot weapons that have fired.

1) Yes. Its per shot. 4 Missile Launcher, 2 AT and 2 AP shots is fine.

2) Flak can be suppressed even tho I prefer "Free" Shot. But I guess it okay because you can also have Flak from AC.

3) Yes. Manticores can be use for Suppression. Any unit that has a weapon within range.

Actually let's make this a bit more clear. You can choose per weapon, not per shot. In case of Marine Devastators they have two weapons and so can choose one to fire one AP and one AT shot. However in case of Warhound vulcan megabolter it has 4 shots and one weapon so it has to choose to fire all AP or all AT.

Yeah what he said!

I may know how it works but I sometimes lack the ability to explain it! LOL! ::)

Isn't that what I said? But yes, that is correct.

Yes, but I was making sure that Angel_of_Caliban also agreed (as I quoted him) :).
