Post subject:  Barrage question

I was reading through the rules again today in preparation for an upcoming game and a question occurred to me regarding titans with multiple barrage weapons.
According to the rues for barrages on page 21 when a formation fires barrages all of the unit's barrage points are added together and the resulting number is looked up on the chart to determine extra templates and blast markers. It then goes on to state that a formation may only fire one barrage in a turn, that it cannot fire separate barrages at different targets.

I have a titan that is armed with 2 Apocalypse Missile Launchers and 2 Quake Cannons.
Each of these weapons puts out 3 barrage points, but they have different ranges and the Quake Cannons are Macro Weapons.
How would this titan work in the game?
According to a very strict reading of page 21 it would fire a single 12 point barrage, but would that barrage be a Macro barrage?
Would a more liberal reading of page 21 allow the Apocalypse Launchers to be grouped into one 6 point barrage and the Quake Cannons to be grouped into another 6 point Macro Barrage and both of these barrages to be fired at the SAME target?
Or would the separate groupings occur, but the titan can only chose to fire one of them each turn as formations are only allowed a single barrage attack?

If you group barrages you loose any special ability that's not on all of the weapons. So you could fire a 6BP MW or 12BP regular barrage.

You could either fire one or both Quakes for a 3-6 BP Macro attack at 90cm, or one or both AMLs and one or both Quakes for 3-12 BP regular attack @ 60cm. For BP attacks, for the barrage to have a special ability like Macro or Disrupt, it must all have that ability. Likewise, you can only fire out the the maximum range of the shortest ranged weapon firing. However you may choose not to use every weapon to fulfill these requirements.

A similar situation occurs for IG Artillery companies with Basilisks and Manticores together.

My old Warlord had the same loadout :)

When I reconstructed my Titan Legion using the new rules and lists, I cut off the Apoc Rocket launchers and installed a Corvus landing pad instead (as well as a magnet point for a 4th weapon - a Deathstrike missile fits the role well):

With the landing pad it can deliver the 6 BP MW indirectly, out to 180cm. It works very well as a support platform. It is also hideously expensive, so in tournament games I'd stick my Supreme Commander in it too, and park it on the blitz objective, forcing the enemy to come at it in order to get the BTS objective.

Thanks everyone, that clears it up quite nicely.
